A Hopeful Vision of the Future!
Hugo and Nebula Award nominated Writer-Producer-Director Marc Scott Zicree, author of classic episodes of Star Trek — The Next Generation, Deep Space Nine, Babylon 5 and Sliders, is now creating Space Command, an epic science fiction series.
Like Star Trek before it, Space Command will inspire a whole new generation that the future can be a place worth living in — if we look to the stars and reach across boundaries of culture, religion and race to create a better tomorrow.
Now in post-production on the first two-hour story and having shot a third of the second two-hour story, Zicree has gathered together some of the television’s most shining stars, including Orange is the New Black’s Mike Harney, Containment’s Christina Moses, Falling Skies and The Strain’s Doug Jones, Babylon 5’s Mira Furlan, Bill Mumy and Bruce Boxleitner, Star Trek Voyager’s Robert Picardo and Ethan Phillips, Deep Space Nine’s Armin Shimerman, Blade Runner and Big Trouble in Little China’s James Hong, and Faran Tahir of Iron Man and J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek.
Other fan favorites on the Space Command team include famed Star Wars character designer Iain McCaig (creator of Darth Maul and Queen Amidala), Emmy-winning VFX genius Ron Thornton (Babylon 5, Star Trek Voyager, Buffy, Enterprise), Emmy-winning writer Michael Reaves (Star Trek – The Next Generation, Batman – The Animated Series) and Star Wars novelist Maya Kaathryn Bohnhoff.
After reaching out to his fan base to raise the funds necessary to build Space Command Studios and start shooting, Zicree is now actively engaged in selling Space Command as a TV series.
The future looks very bright indeed.
